Now for the winners and my commentary on them.
BEST PICTURE:
WINNER: Argo
BEST ACTOR :
WINNER: Daniel Day-Lewis for Lincoln.
I’m at all surprised that Daniel Day-Lewis won Best Actor because this man is an amazing actor. Not only is he an amazing actor but what he does with period pieces are incredible.
BEST ACTRESS:
WINNER: Jessica Chastain for Zero Dark Thirty
I have to say that the past two years have been very good to Jessica Chastain and I can’t wait to see what she does next.
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR:
WINNER: Philip Seymour Hoffman for The Master
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS:
WINNER: Anne Hathaway for Les Miserables
BEST ACTING ENSEMBLE:
WINNER: Silver Lining Playbook
Gotta say I’m surprised this won because both Les Miserables and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel have amazing ensembles that did amazing jobs.
BEST DIRECTOR:
WINNER: Ben Affleck for Argo
I also did think Ben Affleck was a better director than actor.
BEST ORIGINAL SCREENPLAY:
WINNER: Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained
BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY:
WINNER: Tony Kushner’s Lincoln
BEST ANIMATED FEATURE:
WINNER: Wreck-It Ralph
BEST YOUNG ACTOR/ACTRESS:
WINNER: Quvenzhane Wallis for The Beasts of the Southern Wild
This was a given considering she is also up for a Best Actress Nom as well
BEST ACTION MOVIE:
WINNER: Skyfall
I wish there was a way to see the tally of each film because I imagine this had to be a close call since all four movies are great
BEST ACTOR IN AN ACTION MOVIE:
WINNER: Daniel Craig in Skyfall
Again this had to be a close race considering how amazing all the actors nominated in this category are
BEST ACTRESS IN AN ACTION MOVIE:
WINNER: Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games
I seriously think that Judi Dench should have won this because M was way more badass than Katniss.
BEST COMEDY MOVIE:
WINNER: Silver Lining Playbook
BEST ACTOR IN A COMEDY MOVIE:
WINNER: Bradley Cooper for Silver Lining Playbook
BEST ACTRESS IN A COMEDY MOVIE:
WINNER: Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Lining Playbook
BEST SCI-FI/HORROR MOVIE:
WINNER: Looper
As good as this movie is, I still think The Cabin in the Woods or Prometheus should have won.
BEST FOREIGN LANGUAGE FILM:
WINNER: Amour
BEST DOCUMENTARY FILM:
WINNER: Searching for the Sugar Man
BEST SONG:
WINNER: “Skyfall” by Adele, Paul Epworth
This is an amazing song, especially since its the James Bond theme song

WINNER: John Williams for Lincoln

BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY:
WINNER: Claudio Miranda for Life of Pi
BEST ART DIRECTION:
WINNER: Sarah Greenwood and Katie Spencer for Anna Karenina
BEST EDITING:
WINNER: William Goldenberg and Dylan Tichenor for Zero Dark Thirty
