Once Upon A Time S4 E1: A Tale of Two Sisters

The excitement of a new season of Once Upon a Time is making me jump up and down on my bed.  I know this show can be completely ridiculous at times but I don’t care, I love this show.  I love the characters, I love the nonsense, I love the drama and I love the characters.  This season is starting off with introducing some new but recognizable characters from Disney’s hit Frozen.  It is also picking up pretty much where the season ended as in it is the very next day.

The episode starts with a ship in the middle of a terrible storm and waves crashing onto it. A woman is at a desk writing a letter when her husband tells her that they must leave because the ship is going down and she says not till she has finishes her letter to Anna and Elsa….it’s their parents and basically we are seeing the Once Upon a Time take of how they died from the movie.  Whatever their mother had written to them in the letter in the bottle, it was suppose to tell them the truth and save them.  The ship ends up being crushed by waves and then it is 5 years later and Anna (Elizabeth Lail) and Elsa (Georgina Haig) are at their parents’ graves.  As they leave the graves, Elsa tells Anna she has a surprise for her and that it is for her wedding.  So this is supposed to take place after the movie Frozen.

Meanwhile back in our world in present time, Elsa is coming out of the barn and makes her way down the road when she encounters the sign stating that she is in Storybrooke.  Which of course makes her completely confused because she doesn’t know where that is but then again as an audience member, we have no idea what she has been up to that caused to get locked in that bottle.  We also get to see the fall out of what happened when Emma brought Marian back from the dead.  Regina is obviously upset because she thought she was going to get her chance at love, Emma is feeling incredibly guilty about bringing her back and hurting Regina, and Robin is at a loss as to handle the fact that the woman he current loves (Regina) and the woman he thought he had loved and lost (Marian) are confronted for the first time.  I have to say I feel completely terrible for Regina because she has the worst luck ever when it comes to happiness but I also really like the fact that everyone who gathers around outside (Emma, Henry, Snow, Charming, and Killian) are basically there to support Regina while Marian kind of goes ‘WTF?!’ because to her Regina is still the monster known as the Evil Queen.  Granted sometimes I really want to shake Charming and Snow for how they treat Regina like she can’t change.

Elsa is getting her first taste of Storybrooke but almost getting hit by a car driven by Sleepy, who had fallen asleep, and Grumpy.  Then when she is in the town itself, she almost gets hit by a man on a motorcycle.  As she glances around, she sees a wedding dress and it takes her back to a memory of her and Anna.

Anna is trying to guess what Elsa’s surprise and is a little put out that it is just an attic.  Elsa takes her to a cupboard and opens it to reveal that it’s their mother’s wedding dress.  She wants Anna to wear the dress for her wedding and she also gives her a snowflake necklace.  While Anna is trying on the dress, Elsa is going through the room and they have this cute sisterly exchange.  Elsa finds her mother’s diary and believes that her parents death is all her fault.

Back in our world, Rumple is at Baefire/Neal’s grave and he has a very touching, emotional scene talking to his grave about becoming the man that Neal had died for.  Though when he pulls out the dagger from his coat pocket I’m surprised that no one has seen the outline of it, but let’s just chalk that up to magic ;).  Speaking of heartache, the next day Robin goes to see Regina and basically tells her that ‘while yes I do love and care for you, I made a pledge and vow to Marian’ and then he leaves her.  The scene is made even worse because she is sitting there and looking like there is hope for them before he starts talking about his pledge and then as he breaks her heart, a lone tear is falling from her eye. In her anger a mirror behind her breaks and as she picks up a chard she gets an evil look and makes her way to the psych ward of the hospital to where her ‘mirror’ is, telling him that she needs his help again.  Poor Sidney is under the assumption that she was just keeping him around till she needs him, always a thought in her mind when in actually she completely forgot about [like most viewers probably did as well].

I have no idea whose house that is, that Belle found but I fucking love it.  The house is gorgeous.  Belle wants to use the house for their honeymoon and Rumple seems to be in agreement.  As she shows him the house, he quickly freezes her to replace the fake dagger with the real one before unfreezing her.  As she goes to show him her favorite place, he sees a knickknack on the table that makes him pause, which as a viewer makes me want to know how he recognizes it.  Belle takes him to the library/ballroom and I have to admit 2 things here; one I want a room like that but probably less windows and more bookcases and two, I love Belle’s style and I wish I could wear half of what she does.  And like a true Romantic, Rumple transforms her Belle into a beautiful [and iconic] yellow/gold ball gown, himself into a blue suit [also rather iconic], with a gramophone playing an instrumental version of “Beauty and the Beast”…and I may or may not have completely squealed in joy, jealously, and in the adorable romanticism of it all.

The Charming family (or is it the White family? What is Charmings’ last name?) strolls down the street, Emma keeps trying to reach Regina while David and Snow stare at their adorable baby son. Henry decides to give it a try in trying to contact Regina with David going with him while Emma and Snow have this cute mother/daughter/former roommates/bff scene.  Emma is sort of at a loss in how to handle her…thing…with Hook/Killian because its something completely new and different for her.  And of course that is when he shows up, and like the epic schoolgirl that I apparently channel at times, can’t help but cheer and root for him to get his woman…also I completely adore Killian.  Killian calls Emma out on trying to avoid him and she says that they are in the middle of a crisis and he tells her that she should start living her life during them or she might miss it.  You can totally tell that he is a little annoyed about how one step forward, three steps back their relationship is.  And just before she can respond, Leroy and Sleepy come rushing up to tell her about how they are under attack by something that had frozen their van over.  Leroy wants to know who has that kind of magic and Emma suggests maybe the person who made the ice trail.

Back in the past with Anna and Elsa, Elsa is having her own pity party with snowflakes falling around her.  Anna finds her and finds out why Elsa was so upset is because what is written in their mother’s diary.  Elsa says that their parents because they thought her a monster and Anna refuses to believe it, and drags her to her future in-laws to prove it.

Emma and Killian follow the trail of ice and end up finding a giant snow monster (MARSHMALLOW!!!) and Killian of course states that, that was a new one.

Anna and Elsa go to see the trolls, and Elsa keeps trying to get Anna to go back and do planning for the wedding. Can I just say how awesome it was to see the trolls on OUAT, especially since I didn’t think that would be something we would get to see since there won’t be any Olaf.  Grand pappi tells them that he doesn’t know what they were doing but he knew that they were going to Misthaven.  Anna is the ever optimist and tells Elsa that they have answers now and Elsa tells her that they have more questions.  Anna wants to go to Misthaven but Elsa tells her that she, Elsa, can’t leave because Hans and his 12 angry brothers are out there just waiting to attack. So Anna tries to convince Elsa to let her go and how she will be right back and Elsa visibly gets upset because that is exactly what their parents said as well.

Back in our world, Emma and Killian start running from Marshmallow who just keeps following them.  Leory see’s Marshmallow and shouts about an evil snowman and Emma just has this complete putout look on her face.  As Elsa continues to hid, she picks up a newspaper at her feet and sees and image of Rumple and Belle in his shop with Anna’s necklace on the counter.  Marshmallow meanwhile is scared of the loud sounds and turns to make his way towards the forest.

Regina is filling Sidney in on Marian and how she is standing in the way of her happiness by fulfilling the happily ever after that the book has given her.  Sidney wants to know how Regina wants him to kill her, and Regina says she doesn’t want Sidney to kill her but rather she has to go back in time and undo Emma’s mistake by killing Marian before she can be saved. Sidney of course is confused as to how he can help Regina do this. Regina needs Sidney’s help in knowing when she had first captured Marian because she can’t remember her (love the comment about Marian being awfully vanilla, especially if you decided to take it to a dirty place it gives it that line a whole new meaning) but Sidney still doesn’t know how he can help since he isn’t the magic mirror anymore.  Of course that’s when Regina puts him back in the mirror and he flips his lid but Regina tells him that its only temporary.  Sidney as the mirror shows Regina the scene of how she captured Marian.

While Storybrooke is going crazy over Marshmallow, Elsa is slowly making her way to Mr. Gold’s shop.  This leads to a flashback of her looking for Anna and decides to ask Sven and Kristoff if they have seen her. The relationship between Elsa and Kristoff is kinda hilarious because they are trying to get along for Anna’s sake but it just doesn’t seem to be working.  Kristoff is trying distract Elsa from where Anna is because Anna has decided to go to Misthaven to get the answers for Elsa….it obviously doesn’t work and Elsa rushes off to stop her.

In our world Emma, Killian, and David are in the woods lets Robin and his men (plus Marian) know about Marshmallow. Emma tries to tell Little John not to shoot because he only attacks when he feels threaten.  Killian and David tell Emma to use her magic to try and stop him and this only aggravates Marshmallow and knocks them out.  Marian tries to attack him but that doesn’t work except for putting her in his line of sight.  Regina comes out from behind a tree and looks between Marshmallow and Marian, who is pleading with her to save her life (Bitch calls her a monster less than 24 hours earlier but now wants her to save her life) when Regina disappears.  Right when Marian thinks she is going to die, Regina uses her magic to kill Marshmallow, which completely shocks Marian.  Marian tells Regina that maybe she isn’t a monster (bitch needs to shut her mouth), Regina welcomes her to Storybrooke and before Emma can talk to her, she disappears. Emma and Killian have a quiet moment to themselves (Hey Adam and Eddie, can we please get a scene of them cuddling together?!) and when everyone and Killian thinks she is going to kiss him, she steps back.  He calls her on her avoidance and she tells him that she feels guilty but before she leaves, she gives him a kiss and tells him to be patient and all I want to do is shake her, kiss him and lock the two in a closet together…but that’s just me.

One of the best scenes in the entire episode is when Emma is trying to talk to Regina and it zooms out so we can see both sides of the wall; with Regina in her office in the dark on the floor and Emma on the other side of the door where its bright and telling her that she is going to help her find her Happy Ending because that’s why Henry brought her to Storybrooke. Side note: I WANT Regina’s shoes.   Emma’s speech makes Regina think of how it’s the books fault not Marian and now she wants to find the writer of the book so that she can force them to give her, her happy ending.

At their honeymoon location Rumple can’t sleep and goes to look at the knickknack that caught his eye earlier and uses his dagger (which he took from Belle) to open it and it seems to have transformed into a magician’s hat.

Elsa is breaking into Mr. Gold’s shop to get Anna’s necklace which leads to a flashback to Elsa just getting to the harbor as the ship that Anna is on leaves.  Kristoff tells her that she has to let Anna do this and the reason he didn’t go with Anna is because she wanted him to stay so that Elsa wouldn’t be alone.  Elsa is worried about Anna going to Misthaven and wants to know why she has never heard of it and Kristoff tells her that she has probably heard it by the name the inhabitants know it as, the Enchanted Forest.  This part of the conversation is going on as Anna on the boat looks out to sea while touching her necklace.  Making a jump back to the present, Elsa swears she will find Anna while holding up the necklace.

I have to say that I’m really looking forward to seeing what happens next this season because Elsa isn’t trying to be a villain but she will do everything in her power to find her sister.  Also I am super intrigued to find out who actually wrote the book because that is definitely something that hasn’t been discussed in the last 3 seasons.  I have to say that I think they cast both Elsa and Anna perfectly but I’m on the fence about Kristoff.  Of course the episode has left us with tons of questions: What happened to Anna? Whose house is Rumple and Belle staying at? Who wrote the book?  Will Killian and Emma finally work it out?  How the hell is Robin gonna make it work with Marian when everyone knows he is suppose to be with Regina? Is Regina gonna be a villain again or while she just toe the line?

Once Upon a Time S3 E4: Nasty Habits

New OUAT!  New OUAT!! If you can’t tell I’m a little excited.  OUAT has pretty much become a highlight of my week and a bright spot in all the drama and bullshit. Gotta love what an hour of submerging yourself in fairy tales can do for you. Anywhooo, on with the episode!

I still wanna know what role Felix plays in the hierarchy of the Lost Boys. Is it in the bad guy’s handbook that they must pontificate and monologue no matter what? Freaking Neal what are you up too?  Bae’s speech to the Dark One makes me think of Ariel or Belle talking to their fathers.  You have to admit that Rumple really does love his son, no matter how twisted or weird it comes out.

Hallucination of Belle is back in a different outfit, one I like. What is with the three lines on Rumple’s face suppose to symbolize?  Of all the people on the show, I really do want to see Rumple and Belle to work out.  Rumple really wants to make up for all the wrong he has done and is willing to sacrifice himself to get his grandson back.  Wonder what’s gonna happen when he realizes that Bae is still alive.

Poor Emma has such a hard time acknowledging Tinker Bell and I don’t think Tinker Bell understands why.  As Tinker Bell mentions the poison dreamshade look at David and Hook sharing a look.  David still doesn’t want anyone else to know he’s been poisoned does he. Tinker Bell raises a very good point, its all fine and dandy getting Henry but if they can’t escape then they are screwed. I feel like Tinker Bell and Emma could be good friends in other circumstances.  Of course Tinker Bell leaves because she is also not gonna wait around for them to find a plan that could get her killed by Pan.

I wanna know how Neal got off the island too, especially if the only way Hook was able to was by trading Bae to Pan.  Why do I have a feeling its not gonna be a good thing that he did.

Oh look Rumple and Neal have run into each other.  Oh look Rumple thinks he’s hallucinating Neal too! I kinda want to see him stick him because I’ve got a lot of anger towards Neal apparently.  Oh DAMN! He just admitted he’s gonna do it! He’s gonna sacrifice himself to save Henry! YAY Rumple!

And in the past in the Enchanted Forest, Bae has decided to fly the coop. Which probably wasn’t the smartest of ideas but hey I’m sure he just wanted to taste a bit of freedom. Rumple of course blames the nearby townspeople but he is told by the head of the village that there was a man playing a pipe has lured all of their children out into the forest and he must have taken Bae as well. Rumple is not happy to hear this and you know this means there is gonna be some form of violence coming up.

Freaking Neal, everything has to be a double standard when it comes to your father.  I really don’t like Neal. Neal is using a conch shell to summon a giant fucking squid?! What the fuck is he going to do with a giant freaking squid?  He’s going to use squid ink to immobilize Pan? That just doesn’t sound like its going to be very effective.

Oh David trying to keep Emma and Hook apart. Hook raises a good point, why doesn’t David care that he’s going to die and still refuses to tell his family that. David though can’t understand why Hook cares but I think that’s because of Emma.  Freaking David trying to be all noble….what isn’t Hook saying? Oooo everyone gathered in a mysterious cave….love it!  Which turns out to be where Neal lived when he was in Neverland.

Rumple is sitting on top of a roof watching as children climb out of their windows and run to the woods by following some mysterious music. Of course he follows and finds all sorts of boys gathered around a camp fire dancing and yelping when Rumple spots the mysterious piper playing a pan flute. Oh look its freaking Peter Pan.   HOW THE FUCK DOES PETER KNOW RUMPLE AND HOW OLD IS HE?!?!?!  They apparently have some kind of history and I want to know what it is.  So the boys that come to the sound of the pipe are those that feel unloved and unwanted and lonely. It only summons a specific type of boy and apparently that was the kind of boy that Rumple once was.  How the fuck does Peter know so much about Rumple’s past, especially about things like Milah?

COME ON HENRY!!!  Keep holding out against Peter! DUDE HENRY CAN’T HEAR PETER’S SONG!!!! And Peter looks very shocked that Henry can’t hear it. That’s because Henry knows he’s loved and wanted despite what Peter might think.  Felix comes back to camp and tells Pan that Baelfire and the Dark One are reunited and looking for Henry.

Awww Emma and Hook are bonding over Baelfire. Talking about his love of drawing that he got from his mother and things he did to pass the time in Neverland.   Dude did Baelfire make a star map out of coconuts?

A confrontation between Rumple and Pan?! Why do I feel like this is a trap?  Props to Neal for not coating the tip but really why does no one ever silence the people they are attacking? Don’t they know that words can cause more harm than good. Look at Pan turning Rumple and Neal against each other by mentioning a prophecy. Granted Pan is good at twisting words around to suite his meaning.

Thank goodness they got Henry out but now there is going to be a fight between Rumple and Neal. Of course there is!  Freaking Neal, like you are any better? Oh yea your father is a terrible person for wanting to cheat fate but you’re all sunshine and roses when you were willing to sacrifice Roland for your own gain.

So Peter Pan and Rumple grew up together huh. Oh Rumple and Bae, look at you two fight about the lack of trust between the two of them.  I really don’t like Neal at all. He’s such a dick to everyone but he can’t accept the fact that he is just as bad as his father. Rumple believes that being reunited with his son is his Happy Ending but Neal doesn’t believe him. Rumple is willing to die for Henry, give up his love for Belle for Neal’s son and still its not enough for Neal. I hope Emma beats the shit out of Neal, especially since I have a feeling that he is going to try and turn everyone against Hook.

So Neal made a map on how to escape Neverland using the stars but used the lessons Hook taught him to keep it a secret so no one will ever find out. They all believe Neal is dead and so no one can read the map.  Ugh WHY?!?!?!  Alright I know Emma loved/loves Neal because how can she not when he is her first love but I really hope they don’t end up together. He’s a horrible person and she deserves a lot more than him.  I don’t believe he’s her True Love or her Happy Ending and yet that is what Snow believes. So which one of us is right?  Freaking Charming!! you had the perfect chance to tell Snow what is going on and still you don’t. This is going to bite you in the ass, I just know it.

Looks like Rumple was right. Neal and Henry get captured by Pan and his Lost Boys. DUDE the lesson that Neal taught Emma came from Pan? Neal fell right into Pan’s trap just like I knew he would.  Pan has a point, no one gets off the island without his say so and look Neal may have gotten off the island once but now he’s back.  Pan is a master game player isn’t he?

I do love the conversations that Belle and Rumple have. She is like his conscious even when he doesn’t want her to be and maybe he will finally listen.

Why do i have a bad feeling about Pan being there when Henry wakes up.  Freaking Peter Pan is bad news, I just know it.  Bloody Hell!! Henry can hear the song now!!! This not good….not good at all.

Next weeks preview: OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!!! The Captain Swan flag is waving with that kiss!!!  WE GET TO FIND OUT ABOUT HOOK’S ORIGINS!!!! Oh Man I can’t wait for next week’s episode. The Killian Jones fangirl in me is beyond excited for this.

Emma: Neal.

Emma: So….what, Neal swung out of Neverland on a vine?

Hook: If there is one thing I’ve gleaned from you hero types, is that there is always hope.

Regina: Yes, because preteen Baelfire probably made lots of pasta.

Once Upon a Time S3 E3: Quite a Common Fairy

Time for another awesome episode of OUAT! I get really excited about watching this show. I blame Killian Jones for this now.

Let’s go wandering through the forest using a magical map…..always seems like a good idea huh.  Especially since one of the group is poisoned…oh wait no one knows…silly Prince Charming. Have to admit they spend a lot of time wandering through the forest.  Oh the downside of using the magical map, the fact it shows that Peter is moving his camp. But is he really moving the camp or is he just messing with their minds?

So many ties to the original Peter Pan story, what with him cuckooing….even if I wouldn’t like anything more than to punch this Pan in the face. He’s so smug.  Really Peter Pan? How cliche, shooting an apple with an arrow.

Oh yay we get to see Robin, Mulan and Neal!  I love how Robin is like  ‘Relax, tell me the problem, I’ll help.’  while Neal freaks out. At least Neal knows the only reason that Emma would be in Neverland is to find Henry and that Henry is in trouble. Can’t get mad at him for caring about his kid.  He just referenced Wizard of Oz!!!!  Oh look it’s Robin Hood’s merry men and he’s son!!! Roland is super adorable and kind of reminds me of the little hobbit children of Lord of the Rings or at least a baby Elijah Wood.  Freaking Neal, don’t be a dick except that look just tells me that you will be.

I love Hook, have I said that yet?  There is a difference between pixie dust and fairy dust….I had no idea since they are both being used by fairies. You can’t have any kind of Peter Pan mythos without having Tinker Bell being mentioned.  And Regina does not look happy that Tinker Bell has been mentioned. Emma’s head tilt makes me giggle, she can’t believe that Regina is so against another possibility. Though you know because she is so adamant against Tinker Bell its because there is some history between them.

This leads to a flashback to the Enchanted Forest where Regina is eating a feast by herself when Rumple appears. Regina looks good in light colored gowns over her darker ones. Regina doesn’t want to learn from Rumple yet she also doesn’t like the life she has now. She is stuck in a home where she has no where to go and nothing to do with a husband still in love with his dead wife and his daughter that she hates.  Of course hitting things in anger is never a good thing, which leads to Regina falling from the top of her tower and being saved by Tinker Bell (Rose McIver).

We get to see Regina and Tinker Bell bonding over Regina’s hate of Snow White. Well more like Regina telling Tinker Bell why she is so unhappy and Tinker Bell being a listening ear to Regina, something no one else has been.  Tinker Bell has decided that Regina needs love in her life again, to find another love/soul mate and of course Regina is skeptical.

Off through the woods they  all go again, but this time someone is following them.  Regina is seriously reaching to get Emma to not go looking for Tinker Bell. How is it that of all the people that have used magic or know about magic or have had magic used on them, Emma is the only one that knows that there is always a price to be paid? Oh Emma! So shocked that Regina would call Hook you boyfriend. Finally someone mentions his flirting but not loving Snow’s reaction. Come on! Yes she lost Neal in the sense that the father of her child is gone and someone she had once loved but there is no way he was her True Love because that man is chicken shit. Ugh I have a feeling that Snow wont like the two of them getting closer.

Peer pressure Pan? Trying to get Henry to shoot the crossbow? What is your end game?

Finally Hook mentions the fact that Charming was shot!! Hook is good at keeping things close to the vest. Boy does that wound not look good at all. Freaking Hell! Charming can’t die, not when he and Snow have finally been reunited.

Uh oh Tinker Bell is in trouble. The Blue Fairy is coming off as kind of bitchy, not very good fairy like at all. If the fairies know that Regina is being taught by the Dark One why haven’t they done anything about it? There Tinker Bell goes, breaking more rules. Leaving when she is suppose to be staying there and learning.

NEAL! I knew he was going to do something stupid.  Gotta say Robin has every right to be pissed at Neal, hell I’m pissed at Neal. Freaking Neal is pissing me off….I really hope he and Emma don’t get back together.  In his own way, Neal is no better than his father in how he uses and manipulates people to get what he wants done. This has bad news written all over it and trouble.

Emma is good! She knew that Regina has a not good history with Tinker Bell. Aww operation Henry!! She has a name for their mission like Henry names his missions.  I like that the two of them are bonding over their love for Henry. Its pretty impressive that Regina can accept that she has caused trouble for people no matter what she attempts to do.

Tinker Bell takes Regina, using stolen pixie dust, to meet her Happy Ending. Tinker Bell is trying to help Regina even at great cost to herself but Regina is nervous and unsure. Tinker Bell is telling Regina that she can be happy, she can get rid of all her anger and baggage and just be happy with her true love.  Her true love that has a crest with a lion tattooed on his arm and looks a lot like Robin Hood from the back. But of course Regina chickens out and doesn’t go in.

Interesting confrontation between Regina and Tinker Bell. Tinker Bell is angry and bitter and Regina is kind of surprised by that. I don’t think Regina realizes what happens after she screws them over.  The way Hook says he’s sorry to Charming kind of breaks my heart because he truly is sorry that he can’t help him. Aww Emma and Snow have something to bond over now, the fact they both had bolt holes, just places to stay when they were on the run.

Oh Regina, stop being a bitch the one person that can help you. Tinker Bell has a point, its because of Regina that her life got destroyed and she is no longer a fairy. Regina rejected her help, refused to let love in and basically rejected Tinker Bell’s friendship not to mention making her loose her wings. Seeing how she lost her wings sucks and was sad.

Watching Tinker Bell and Regina have their confrontation was really good. It was amazing actually, the anger that has festered in Tinker and how Regina can finally admit that all she had for years for that anger. I love this new emotional Regina that can open up to her faults and accept that she caused a lot of problems. I can’t help but feel like that Regina has those little bits of red in her heart because of Henry. Watching Regina talk someone off a ledge is pretty impressive and I can’t help but want to see more of this softer side of Regina.

Peter is a good sales man, gotta admit that.  I have to say that’s an interesting view point that Henry is the real Savior and not Emma. I still want to know how the hell Peter got that picture of Henry.

Look at Mulan take charge of the scene. I like how in control and commanding she is because that is who she is and she won’t accept being anything less. She’s a badass and she knows it. Oh Robin, Neal fucked up too much to have his family be a whole one again. It’s cute that you think its possible though.  Oh Mulan, you are so innocent in the ways of the heart.  You have to admire a man that calls himself ‘Daddy’ an still looks like a badass.  Good on you Robin, for putting your foot down.  There goes Neal, jumping out a window and holding onto the food of a shadow. If you cut a shadow does it harm the person the shadow belongs too?  Aww Robin is such a good father to his son. Look at Robin offering Mulan a job and Mulan is turning him down for the opportunity to talk to a love one.

Awww Mulan and Aurora having a moment. HOLY SHIT!! Aurora and Phillip are having a baby and Mulan looks crushed. I could have sworn Mulan had the hots for Phillip not Aurora? Awww Aurora looks crushed that Mulan is leaving them to go join Robin Hood’s band.

Look at all them coming to defend Regina against Tinker Bell. Warms the cockles of your heart, it does.  Hook looks like he is trying not to laugh at Emma standing up to Tinker Bell.  I wonder what the history between Tinker Bell and Hook is.  If Tinker Bell goes back to Storybrooke with them, I see a smack down fight between her and Blue Fairy, and I can’t wait.  Poor Charming, still can’t tell her that he is dying.

Henry finally gives into his curiosity and sees that the picture is of him.  Wonder what that means for him later on. Damn Neal is back in Neverland and greeted by one of the Lost Boys, the only one that ever really talks. I wonder if that was his Shadow that was sent to fetch Roland or not.

Gathering around the camp fire and Hook is opening coconuts with his hook. I like the little exchange between the two of them, while Charming and Snow are cuddling. I wonder what Tinker Bell is thinking before she goes to talk to Regina because she is staring at Hook and Emma rather intently.  It’s interesting what Tinker Bell says, that not only did Regina screw herself over but she also screwed over the man with the lion tattoo. it’s something that Regina probably never took into account and its finally hitting her that that not meeting the man might have been a big mistake.

I KNEW IT!!!! I knew the man with the lion tattoo was going to be Robin Hood!  I actually can’t wait to see Robin Hood and Regina meet and interact, especially since Roland is in the picture now.

Once Upon A Time S3 E1: The Heart of the Truest Believer

Season 3 of Once Upon A Time has started and boy did it kick off and its killing me to wait a week for the next episode. Again my thoughts and opinions and commentary are as followed so there are gonna be SPOILERS.

For a refresher of what has happened in the last two seasons: Emma Swan has come to Storybrooke, Maine when the son she gave up for adoption, Henry, finds her in Boston. After not believing Henry the entire time she has been in town, including some rather weird things, Henry eats a bite of the apple turnover his adopted mom (who happens to be the Evil Queen Regina) made from the poisoned apple (that Snow White had taken a bite out of) and fallen into the sleeping curse.  Emma finally believes, ends up fighting a dragon (a.k.a. Maleficent) and when she thinks all hope is lost, kisses Henry on the forehead and BAM not only wakes him up but ends up breaking the curse. Everyone in Storybrooke remembers who they are from the Enchanted Forest. Mr. Gold (aka Rumpelstiltskin) brings magic to Storybrooke and summons a wraith to kill Regina. Emma, Snow and Charming being the good guys that they are, and with some pleading from Henry, go in to save the day only to have Emma and Snow transported to the now destroyed Enchanted Forest. While in the Enchanted Forest they team up with Mulan and Aurora and meet Cora, Regina’s mother and an even more wicked Queen, and Killian Jones aka Captain Hook, who wants revenge against Rumple. After Snow and Emma get back to Storybrooke with Cora and Hook following not too far behind, a ridiculous amount of drama, including the reappearance of Neal (Rumple’s son, Emma’s ex that sent her to prison and oh yea Henry’s father), Neal being shot and falling into a portal, Henry ends up getting kidnapped by Tamara (Neal’s “fiance”) and Greg (a child Regina fucked over not long after the curse happened) and being taken to Neverland. Snow, Charming, Mr. Gold, Regina, Hook and Emma all team up to go rescue Henry and find out that Peter Pan isn’t the kind of person you want to cross.  And that is a very quick and dirty summary of the first two seasons of Once Upon a Time.

Season 3 picks up almost exactly where season 2 finished, with them all on the ship heading through the portal and into Neverland. Of course OUAT isn’t complete without a flashback and this one happens to be of Emma giving birth at 8:15 (a probable nod to the frozen time on the clock in Season 1) and refusing to see the child and then BAM let’s get to the ship. Of course they aren’t the only ones in Neverland; Tamara, Greg, and Henry are there too.

Gotta say Henry has some amazing faith in his family, and how does he know about Neverland? But of course nothing is as simple as Greg and Tamara think it is, because they are blind to their attempt to destroy magic has also left them blind to the manipulations going on around them.  The heart to heart that happens on the ship is interesting and very telling. Regina and Hook contemplate being villains and if that means they don’t get a happy ending and if they have wasted their lives and then you have Snow, Charming and Emma and how how they finally are clashing personality and faith-wise.  Snow and Charming are unfailing optimistic and Emma is extremely realistic and she doesn’t get how they can stay so positive.  You have to had it to Emma for pointing out that even though they are suppose to be good guys, their lives have sucked.

Oh look the beginning of a collapse.  You’ve got six strong personalities on a ship all looking for one person and you know there is gonna be drama, especially since they don’t all get a long.  Can’t tell if Rumple is purposefully being a dick or not, probably just his personality. Oh look Greg is still under the belief that he knows what’s going on and its not a prank whereas Tamara is getting suspicious. Oh look here come the Lost Boys aka the Home Office.  How the hell does Henry know so much about Neverland?  Silly Tamara, thinking they are gonna respond to you just because you’re an adult.

Mysterious Shadow comes and rips out Greg’s shadow…..cuz that’s not creepy or icky.  Mysterious boy in the woods that helps Henry escape from the Lost Boys? Yea that’s not suspicious at all.  Aww Hook/Emma bonding and drinking time. Nothing brings two people together like drinking over the memory of a lost love one….oh look speak of the devil. Neal isn’t dead at all, just injured and with Mulan, Aurora and Phillip.  This is a softer side of Mulan apparently and I kind of like though I gotta say Aurora has got a nice new look.  Aww more Hook/Emma bonding time.  And now its back to more drama on the ship but now they are being attacked by mermaids. Mermaids just aren’t nice people apparently.

Gotta say, I like how the mermaids are working to capsize the ship and still the sarcasm of Regina rings out.  This is a great group of people that are not only witty but can be rather sarcastic and snarky when the mood strikes them.  Charming looks good with a mini canon and blowing shit up. Oh Regina, love your comments.  There is something wrong with this Lost Boy and I really hope that I’m not the only one that thinks that he is Peter Pan right? Henry has so much faith and it looks like this time it might not do him much good.

I gotta admit right now, I’m a HUGE Killan/Emma fan and when Neal came back in the picture I had to admit I am/was worried that they are gonna make it into a an Emma/Neal story. But the more I see Neal and Mulan talk, the more I keep hoping they end up together because they have got some great moments together. So this is me crossing my fingers that Captain Swan (the shipping name for Hook/Emma) becomes canon.

Oh Tamara, you really think Rumple is gonna help you?  Silly, silly girl.

Mermaid chick has a great outfit and some how she got trapped with a giant conch shell…..really? And no one thinks that they should have maybe tied the mermaid down?  More Mulan and Neal bonding, now more Henry and strange ‘Lost Boy’ running, and we’re back to the crazy ship. Gotta say watching them all fight and argue with each other reminds me of a line from The Avengers that Bruce Banners says; “It’s his M.O., isn’t it? I mean, what are we, a team? No, no, no. We’re a chemical mixture that makes chaos. We’re… we’re a time-bomb.” Gotta admit that fits these five (Hook, Charming, Emma, Swan, and Regina) perfectly.  Oh look a giant tidal wave that makes them all look like they belong in a shampoo commercial.

Oh look…it’s a new Robin Hood! Exploring dear old Rumple’s castle…wonder if all his stuff was taken with him when the curse happened or it was stolen? Twirl an old stick and a magic cupboard appears….good to remember.  And the chemical mixture is back and it looks like they are about ready to explode.  Gotta say the fight between Snow/Regina and Hook/Charming is pretty awesome since they are in the middle of a storm, and the ship is going all over the place. Of course Emma is the only one that realizes some thing is wrong so why not jump into the ocean while there is storm? Of course its wouldn’t be complete without her being knocked in the head by a falling bit of ship.

Something I have learned from watching Once Upon a Time is that even if you don’t have enough faith or belief, all you need is Henry because he will have enough faith and belief to power just about anything or get someone to believe.

I kind of wish it had been Hook jumping in after Emma and not her dad.  Some how Emma is magical that she doesn’t need any kind of CPR, she just starts breathing and spitting up water on her own. What a missed opportunity for Hook to giver her CPR.  Though he does look extremely relieved to see her alive.

What is the meaning behind the doll that the Lost Boy gave Rumple? Gotta say it makes me curious to know the story between Peter Pan and Rumple.  All of a sudden I wonder if the doll is connected to when Baelfire was on Neverland?  Which means we get to see what Neal is up to now, which is attempting to use magic.

Alright Mulan needs a happy ever after and a true love, because she is freaking awesome.  Neal is freaked she’s in Neverland and I want to know how he got out of Neverland. SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!

Oh Regina, you might just become my favorite this season. This episode you have had some AMAZING lines.  Though I do love Killian Jones SO much more. Him admitting he has a crush on Emma and she has NO response, isn’t surprised and just takes it because she probably thinks he isn’t serious but he is. You can tell…..excuse me while I fangirl.

Flying Henry and mystery boy….why is the pixie dust green?  Oh Henry, you poor naive little boy. I KNEW HE WAS PAN!!!!!  Quick random fact about the actor playing Peter Pan (Robbie Kay), he is an 18 year Englishman whose birthday is 5 days after mine….well day wise, not year since I’m 8 years older than him. He doesn’t look 18 does he?  Why the hell does he want the heart of the truest believe? What does he want with it and why do I automatically assume he wants to eat it?

What a way to end the episode and I can’t wait to see what happens next….especially since it looks like Emma and Pan are gonna have a confrontation of some kind.
